Don't worry about it. This poll is getting way too long in the tooth. Its validity is approaching zero. An internet poll generally has 3 lives. First, people stumble across it. Second, people who are passionate about the question rush to it. Thirdly, if it still around, people try to control the results. You don't need multiple computers. You just need a basic knowledge of how the Westfield republican server recognizes your computer and you can vote all day. Some people even resort to automated programs, which is why some sites ask you to read that wavy type writing. The computer is just trying to distinguish you from an automated program. I digress. The results should have been posted after about 12-15 hours, not several days.
Remember the capital reserves fund vote was 600 to 60, and those 60 were BOE members, family, and friends. You would think in a poll (not vote) the BOE could round up 50% percent of the vote. You know the BOE members are working the phones and doing whatever to get out the Yes vote.
its still over a 12 to 1 edge in NO votes, but there seem to be a surge in yes votes (7%, wow). Could this be votes from Rock Stream and out of town schools who don't want sissel, their thinking could be>> if we vote yes maybe those fools on the WACS BOE will keep him,
so school started today, i wonder if sissel mandated that all teachers vote on this poll, all of a sudden there is a few people who want to save the fool. hmmm, a little suspicious it seems...
The BOE and superintendent are costing this district its respect and chasing business and homeowners out of town, who wants to live in a town that again just overtaxed us $800,000 last year. The BOE is a JOKE. The BOE decisons do not reflect what the people want. Looks like 10 years about when the Board of Public Utilities members and Village rode Welch's out of town. Same loser thinking. Just resign and get it over with.
The public says 90% NO, 3% YES, as a BOE member I wonder how I should vote? (That is a hard one, habig, bodenmiller, edwards, lebarron, windsow, cardy and piscoli, these members sold us out, they smile at you while back-stabbing you) The BOE really has the taxpayers and residents best interests in mind don't THEY? The BOE really represents us don't they? This poll really shows what the public thinks of the BOE members. The people won't come to meetings because they can't stand your thinking. The public doesn't want to raise questions because of members like habig, and all of your disgraceful treatment of Mr. Underwood and Mr. Neratko. After you treat folks like you treated them do you think a parent wants to raise a question, they fear their child will be harassed at school. Do you think teachers want to speak up, fear of harassment also. The BOE scares people in more ways then one. Just look at their vote for sissel vs the PUBLIC 90% NO vote!
I would hope that school officials would not cheat in such a way. They are supposed to be teaching our children right from wrong. It would take a pretty sad individual to do such a thing.
lets hope Sissel isn't using his school computer to votes yes. Maybe we should ask to audit his computer and the Village computers to see if BOE members Edwards and Lebarron used them to vote YES. BOE work should be done in public at the hearings, not behind closed doors like it continues to be done. It appears that Sissel has no problem watching district parents and students to see if they live in the district (even driving by their homes checking up) yet he has a problem with people knowing he lives in Rock Stream NY 170 miles from his job in Westfield. Double standard for sure. Wake up BOE, do something, anything!
If you watched this poll it hit 94% NO and 6% maybe or unknown before one person voted YES. Surprising because we know BOE President Marie Edwards and other BOE members and supt sissel read the postings in the WFD republican and dunkirk observer numerous times daily. As the BOE and sissel try and run up the Yes vote you may see some movement but that was after 2 days of voting. Where were you BOE members the first 2 days. Scared to vote Yes. If the NO numbers stay high you can already hear the BOE and sissel saying polls numbers don't matter, its who comes to the meetings. The fact is Sissel should be collecting unemployment and the BOE, lead by Marie Post Edwards are LOST in space!
Is this a huge vote of no-confidence against the board? Is this proof that the board is absolutely and completely out of touch with those they represent? What is the next step?
It appears to us that Mr. Sissel is a series of paradoxes. In our humble opinion . . . He is a leader without leadership abilities-e.g., articulate and sell a vision. He saves us money by wasting it-see past articles. He is a Christian without Christ-like attributes- e.g., mercy compassion, brotherly-love. He increases stability by increasing instability. He appears to hate our community, but doesn't want to leave.
