Max Bates earns MVP honors in CCAA West II

Following another season in which the Westfield Wolverines baseball team finished undefeated in league play, senior Max Bates has been named CCAA West II's Most Valuable Player.

Joining Bates on the first team All Stars were four other Wolverines. Seniors Eric Fermier and Chris Catalano, along with sophomores Broch Schuster and Bret Babcock, represented Westfield on the first team.

The Brocton Bulldogs followed with three first teamers, including senior Garrett Mcfadden and sophomores Ronald Brown and Jordan Krystofiak.

Cassadaga Valley's Connor Crabtree and Adam Goot, both sophomores, were named to the first team for the Cougars.

Rounding out the first team All Stars were Clymer's Sam Wiggers (junior), Sherman's Chris Robson (senior) and Nolan Eggleston (senior).

David Grayson was Westfield's lone representative on the second team. Brocton's Charlie Rexford, Jonethen Spicer and Hunter Rizzo made second team. Cassadaga Valley's second teamers were Jacob Peterson.

Tyler Keach and Anthony Rodriguez. Clymer was represented by Garrett McCelland, Spencer TeWinkle and Gerrit Hinsdale while Panama's Tony Frangione and Sherman's Mike Beatman rounded out the second team.

The following players, by school, were named Honorable Mention: Westfield-Simon Williams; Brocton-Derrick Burns, Gabe Rosas, Nate San George; Cassadaga Valley-C.J. Kubera, Brandon Chamberlain; Clymer-Dylan Davis, Zavon Overton; Panama -Lucas Golden, Dylan Marsh, Tristen Frye, Ryan Joslyn, Hayden Brown; Sherman - Kolby Parks.
