On a monthly basis, Westfield Middle School honors one student at each grade level as the Student of the Month. Teachers and staff had the opportunity to nominate one student who they believed met the following criteria: 1. Follows Westfield's Rules of Respect for staff and peers; 2. Shows outstanding effort and improvement or shows achievement and consistent high scores on tests, quizzes and projects; 3. Prepared daily to participate in all classes; 4. Serves as a positive role model for peers; 5. Demonstrates a positive attitude and good citizenship.

Three students were selected as a Student of the Month for the month of March.

At the sixth grade level, Aaliyah Winslow was named Student of the Month. In school, Aaliyah likes chorus and math because she loves to sing and enjoys the challenge of math. She participates in soccer and cheerleading outside of school. Her future goals include getting into a good college and graduating with strong grades.

Lauren Bills earned this award for seventh grade. Lauren enjoys all of her classes and believes that her teachers want all of their students to succeed. Outside of school, Lauren dances (tap is her favorite) and runs track.

In the future, she would like to become an elementary teacher because she likes working with children.

At the eighth grade level Hunter Dellow was selected as Student of the Month. Hunter's favorite subject is technology because he prefers working with his hands. He also likes ELA and had fun writing a book report on Brandon Webb this year. Hunter loves hunting and fishing in his spare time, and being outdoors. In the future, Hunter hopes to become a fishing guide.

The Westfield School and community offer their congratulations to these outstanding students.
