Habitat for Humanity begins Westfield rehabilitation

A recent Habitat for Humanity meeting attended by more than 30 interested people was the kick-off for beginning a Westfield house restoration.

Known for building or restoring homes, Habitat in the Mayville/Westfield area will focus on 35 Backman Avenue beginning at 8:30 a.m. this Saturday, April 22, and will work until 12:30 a.m. according to Mike Ricketts, Habitat board member and volunteer coordinate.

In addition to the volunteers who will work Saturday morning, a group from SUNY Fredonia Habitat for Humanity chapter will send 15 students to work Saturday.
