BROCTON - A five-run fifth inning propelled the Brocton Lady Bulldogs (1-2, 1-0) to a 5-3 victory over the Sherman Bulldogs Wednesday in CCAA West 2 softball.
Megan Gloss earned the complete-game win, allowed five hits, walked four and struck out six.
Danielle Aldrich took the loss, throwing six innings while striking out three, walking four and allowing seven hits.

Kailin Kristan had two hits in the win. Jen Potter added a hit and Michaela Manos drove in a run.
Maggie Myers had a double and an RBI in the loss.
Cassadaga Valley 17, Westfield 0
The Cassadaga Valley Lady Cougars (1-0, 1-0) scored in every inning en route to a 17-0 victory Wednesday over the Westfield Lady Wolverines (0-3, 0-2) in CCAA West 2 softball.
Brittyn Lebarron earned the win with four innings pitched, seven strikeouts and four walks.
Ashley Lind had three hits with a double; Allyssa Watts had two hits with a double; Jenna Caskey had two hits with a triple and Emily Roberts had two hits in the win.
Sara Tilly took the loss, pitching four innings and striking out four.
Chautauqua Lake 8, Dunkirk 4
RIPLEY - Chautauqua Lake (3-0, 1-0) scored two runs in the bottom of the first, four in the second and two in the sixth to back winning pitcher Olivia Anderson, who allowed four runs on six hits while striking out six and walking three in the Lady Thunderbirds' 8-4 win over CCAA West 1 counterpart Dunkirk (1-1, 1-1) on Wednesday.
Anderson helped her own cause with three hits and two RBIs while Cameryn Hawkins had a pair of singles and Lakin Gustafson a double in the win.
For Dunkirk, Monica Pokoj suffered the loss in the circle, allowing eight runs on 10 hits while striking out two and walking one. Kymi Nance had two hits, including a double, and an RBI for the Lady Marauders while Alexis Tofil added a double in the loss.
