Lou Ann Zappia, 70 years old, of Brocton, New York passed away at her home Saturday evening, April 1, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 28, 1946 in Big Spring, Texas and was the daughter of the late R. M. and Twyla Murry Stroup. She was a graduate of Big Spring High School in Big Spring, Texas. Lou was a stay-at-home mom taking care of her daughters, Angela and Nicole; and her Beagle, Buddy. She also loved base-ball, especially the New York Yankees, and Nascar Racing with Rusty Wallace as her favorite.
Lou Ann is survived by her husband, Anthony Zap-pia, whom she married on April 18, 1970. They were married for 46 years. She is also survived by two daughters, Angela (Shawn) Stanbaugh of Dover, Pennsylvania and Nicole Zappia of Brocton, New York; one granddaughter, Sierra Stanbaugh; and her dog, Buddy.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one daughter, Julie; and one brother, Manny Stroup.
