Chautauqua County Curiosities will be of interest when the Mayville Tuesday Club begins a new year in the Mayville Library at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 4.
Guest speaker Vince Martonis will show items which have interesting, strange and historically important history connected to them. They include the Great Black Walnut Tree of Silver Creek, so large that it was made into a room. In addition, the Famour Hanover Elm, largest tree east of the Rockies, with 34 historical oil paintings on a slice of it.
Be sure to come to the Tuesday Club to see and hear about lots more "curious" items.
Should you have any questions about Tuesday Club, call the organization's president, Dianne Goodrich at 753-7472.
