The 2017 Presidents Day Weekend Winter Festival held a new event this year, the Festival Logo Scavenger Hunt. Held at Chamber Member businesses Lighthouse Point Grocery, Webb's Candies, Webb's Cottage Collection, 3 Seas Recreation, Mayville Hardware, Crosby's (Mayville), Chautauqua Miniatures, and Reverie Creamery, participants visited these business locations to look for a festival logo located somewhere within each business. Many entries were received for the Scavenger Hunt which took place during the month of February. Winners of the 2017 Festival Logo Scavenger Hunt are:
Carol King of Mayville, in the $125 prize drawing; Pauline Masters of Irving, in the $75 prize drawing; and Hannah Weise of Mayville, in the $50 prize drawing. Congratulations to all of the winners.
A 50/50 raffle drawing was also held again this year. Jamie Elifritz of Jamestown was the winner of the 2017 Winter Festival 50/50 raffle held festival weekend. Two organizations, Chautauqua Lake Softball Boosters of Mayville and the Chautauqua County Humane Society, parked cars at the festival this year. A share of the parking proceeds benefited these worthy organizations. Many students from Chautauqua Lake Central School, as well as others, also volunteered their time to assist at the festival this year. Many thanks to these individuals and groups for helping to make the 2017 Winter Festival a success.
