Nancy Nixon Ensign is a talented working artist with a focus on acrylic plein air and studio painting and a passion for introducing art to our community.
For the Patterson Library in Westfield she serves as the Octagon Art Gallery Curator, Adult Program Specialist and handles the library's Special Collections. Nixon Ensign is a founding member and sits on the board of the North Shore Arts Alliance (NSAA) and serves as Vice President / Exhibition Chair. Now she has consented to serve as the NSAA Art Trail Chairperson replacing retiring chairperson, Thomas Annear. Annear has been a driving force for the Art Trail, and for now plans to concentrate on his art and his young family. His studio at 43 Central Ave, Fredonia will continue to be a high point on the Art Trail. Nixon Ensign will be exhibiting for the fifth year on the 2017 Art Trail (May 27 & 28) at Portage Hill Gallery in Westfield. Our community is fortunate as Nixon Ensign brings to the Art Trail a wealth of artistic experience. Her education includes: School of Sacred ArtsC; Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester and the University of Rochester, Rochester.

Nixon Ensign's ownership of New World Imports Gallery, Ybor City, Fl and Victor Scenic, New York City and her experiences working with world renowned companies like Universal Studios, Loews Portofino Hotel, and Walt Disney World contribute to her ability to bring excitement and a new perspective to the 2017 Art Trail.
The Chautauqua Lake Erie Art Trail (May 27 & 28) is the premier event of the North Shore Arts Alliance (NSAA) which is a not-for-profit co-operative marketing, promotional, and membership organization working on behalf of artists in Chautauqua County, New York.
NSAA seeks to foster an environment where art strengthens our County's image, economic vitality, and quality of life.
