Letters to the editor

Dear Editor,

Please let the citizens of the United States decide the election for President. The purpose of the press is to is to inform people and to act as a watchdog. In this election, as in 2008, the press decided to do neither. They decided who should be President and worked to make it happen. In 2008 the press decided not to focus or investigate (act as a watchdog) on the radical background of a candidate. This election we have two extremely flawed candidates and the media again refuses to investigate (act as a watchdog) and expose the criminal conduct of one candidate while highlighting and embellishing the personal character flaws of the other candidate.

This is one of the most important elections in our nation's history. With this election over 70% of the citizens believe our country is moving in the wrong direction. With this election we will either continue the march towards socialism or return to the principles that made the United State the greatest country in the world. With this election the citizens need to keep in mind what Thomas Jefferson said, "A government big enough to give you everything you want, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have." With this election the Fourth Estate needs to be unbiased, impartial in providing the citizens with all the facts of the candidates to let the voters decide the direction of the country. Please let the citizens of the United States decide the election for President.
