Beginner's Quilting Class at the Ripley Free Library

Join our Beginner's Quilting Class at the Ripley Free Library. The class meets every Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. If you've always wanted to learn how to quilt but thought it was too complicated, now is your chance to mark it off your bucket list. For more information call 736-3913."

Baked Ham Harvest Dinner

The First Presbyterian Church in Westfield will be hosting a Baked Ham Harvest Dinner from 5-6:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1. Cost will be $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. All dinners include beverage and homemade dessert. Sit down, takeout or delivery are available. For delivery please call the church office at 326-2643 before noon on the day of the dinner. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit building restoration and mission/outreach projects. For more information call the church office at 326-2643. We welcome the community to join us!

Saturday, Nov. 2

Christmas Craft Bazaar

Alexander Findley Library is set to host a Christmas Craft Bazaar with hand-made crafts and baked goods by several crafters and bakers as well as homemade lunch for purchase throughout the show. Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, free door prize drawings and free admission. All proceeds to benefit the local library. This event will be held at the Lake Erie Fire Hall on Main Street in Findley Lake. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"Think Christmas" Country Bazaar

Brocton Central School will be hosting a "Think Christmas" Country Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Elementary gym. The evnt is being sponsored by ETA TAU Sorority.

Annual Silent Auction

The Ripley Free Library will be hosting their Annual Silent Auction on Saturday, November 2. Doors open at noon. There will be many items to choose from including toys, games, gift certificates galore, a lamp, beautiful picture roughly 45 x 34 and so much more. Plus a Chinese auction and a bake sale. Start your Christmas shopping early!

Monday, Nov. 4

Community tennis

Enjoy tennis every Monday night from 6:30 to 8 p.m., weather permitting. Meet at the courts behind Westfield Academy and Central School to play tennis. The plan is to have enough people to organize several double matches.

Soup Supper

The First Presbyterian Church in Westfield will be hosting a Soup Supper on Nov. 5 from 5-7 p.m. The cost for adults is $7, children are $3 and the family price is $20. All proceeds will benefit the Westfield Memorial Hospital. If you have any questions please call 326-3504 or 753-6043.

Mayville T.O.P.S. meeting

Mayville T.O.P.S. NY 1337 meets every Tuesday at the Mayville United Methodist Church on South Erie St. Weigh in starts at 5 p.m., with program starting at 5:30 p.m. Join in to Take Off Pounds Sensibly with a great support group, fun contests and awards. Any questions, call 753-3419 or 386-6075.

Westfield T.O.P.S. meeting

Infinity's Coffee and Canvas

Join us at Infinity on Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 6-8 p.m. for the second installation of Coffee and Canvas. You will be creating the attached piece of work with the instruction of local artist, Deb Eck. Artwork will be mountable, so you can bring it home and display your piece for all to see or even give it as a holiday gift. $25 class fee (an additional one-time $25 registration fee applies if you are new to the Infinity program). Westfield Memorial Hospital's Parkinson's Disease Support Group Meeting is held the first Thursday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The Mayville Senior Citizens Club meets on the first and third Thursdays of the month at the Mayville VFW at noon. All area seniors 55 or older are welcome. Bring a dish to pass and personal table service

On Nov. 10 and 24 the Vietnam Veterans of America will be hosting their November meetings at the John T. Murrau VFW Post No. 1017 located at 113 Deer St. Dunkirk. All Vietnam-Era personnel are invited.

Chicken and Biscuit Dinner

Olive Lodge No. 575 F&AM is sponsoring a chicken and biscuit dinner Nov. 11 on Election Day. The event will be held at Olive Lodge No. 575 located at 197 Park St. in Sherman. The dinner will include chicken and biscuits, mashed potatoes and gravy, apple sauce, homemade desserts and a beverage. The price is $8 per dinner and take out orders will be available. The event runs from 4 p.m. until sold out.
