CHAUTAUQUA - The Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy is pleased to announce the 2013 Pro-Am Annual Golf Tournament will be held at the beautiful Chautauqua Golf Club, 4731 W. Lake Rd., Chautauqua on Monday, June 24 with an 11 a.m. shotgun start.
The tournament welcomes both male and female amateur golfers. Ladies will play the Hill Course, and gentlemen will play the Lake Course. Each foursome will include a visiting PGA professional from the Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania areas, making for an exciting day of golf.
Only 90 male and 21 female players will participate for some great prizes, so early registration is suggested. Lunch will be served on the course, and the event will conclude with an awards dinner at CGC. There are also opportunities for sponsorship and program advertising, and contributions may be tax deductible.
The Chautauqua Golf Club will host the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy’s 2013 “Score One For Our Lake” Pro-Am nnual Golf Tournament. A major fundraising event for the conservancy, proceeds go toward CWC's watershed pollution prevention, stream and lakeshore restoration and watershed conservation programs to help arrest soil erosion and nutrient pollution, both of which are root causes of lake sedimentation and excessive algae and aquatic plant growth.
Proceeds from the 2012 tournament were spent on conserving lakeshore wetlands at Whitney Bay and Wells Bay, conserving and enhancing Chautauqua Lake tributary lands at Big Inlet, Goose Creek and Prendergast Creeks and lakeshore buffer planting and education programs.
