MAYVILLE - Thomas D. Przepiora, 57, of Lakeview Ave., Mayville was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment and trespass on Tuesday, April 16.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies charged Przepiora around 8:15 p.m., stemming from an incident where Przepiora allegedly called and threatened another resident of Mayville, then drove to his house to confront him and would not leave when ordered to. Przepiora will appear in Chautauqua Town Court on a later date.

MINA - Charges are pending following a personal injury motor vehicle accident on Saturday, April 20.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on Route 426 in the Town of Mina around 9:45 p.m. The operator, Darcy J. Smith, 49, of Youngsville, Pa., was allegedly operating her vehicle northbound on Route 426 when she lost control of her vehicle, entered the ditch on the east side of the roadway and struck a telephone pole. Smith and her passenger, Charles W. Insinger, 53, of Youngsville, Pa., were both treated at the scene by Findley Lake and Sherman Fire Departments. Insinger was taken to Hamot Medical Center by Starflight Helicopter for treatment of his injuries sustained in the accident while Smith was transported to Hamot Medical Center for treatment of her injuries. The investigations is continuing with charges pending.

MAYVILLE - Brandon L. Hogue, 20, of S. Erie St., Mayville was committed to the Chautauqua County Jail on charges of second-degree assault, second-degree menacing and unlawful imprisonment on Friday, April 19.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to a disturbance at on S. Erie Street in the Village of Mayville around 1 p.m. Upon investigation, it is determined Hogue allegedly assaulted an individual with a sword. Hogue was charged, arraigned on those charges in Chautauqua Town Court and committed to jail.
