Clymer Central School Students of the Second Quarter

CLYMER - The Clymer Central School District is pleased to announce its "Pirate Pride" Students of the Quarter.

During each marking period, faculty members nominate students in grades kindergarten through fourth, fifth through eighth and ninth through 12th they feel are demonstrating leadership, academic improvement and excellence and service to school or community. "Pirate Pride," the Character Education Committee at CCS, reviews the nominations and selects one student from each of the three grade level divisions.

The kindergarten through fourth grade Student of the Quarter is second grader Natalie Johnson. She is the daughter of Tyler and Jessica Johnson. Natalie attends the Edwards Chapel Sunday school. She has received trophies for Findley Lake T-ball in 2010 and 2012. She also has received trophies in 2011 and 2012 for soccer in North East, Pa. She enjoys outdoor sports such as soccer and T-ball. She plans on attending college to become a teacher.

Arden Hepler, a fifth grader and daughter of Kristopher and Erica Hepler, is the Student of the Quarter for grades five through eight. Arden enjoys playing the violin and singing in the chorus at school. She also enjoys playing on the Corry Youth Soccer team. Arden received an Art Award at St. Bonaventure University in 2012. She also placed first with an art piece at the Corry Art Show in 2012. Arden is on the Clymer Central School Honor Roll. Her hobbies include horseback riding and painting. Someday Arden would like to become an archaeologist.

The ninth through 12th grade Student of the Quarter is ninth grader William Scarem. William is the son of Shannon and Candy Scarem. In school, William enjoys cross-country, basketball, track, band and chorus. Outside of school, William is a member of the church youth group, the SPRC Committee and Boy Scouts. He also enjoys drawing, archery and hunting. William will attend college to become an engineer.
