Patricia Ruth Penfield Bargerstock, 72, of Swede Hill Rd., Panama, N.Y., passed away Saturday (March 16, 2013) at St. Vincent's Health Care Center in Erie, Pa.
She was born March 23, 1940, in East Randolph, N.Y., the daughter of the late Leonard and Beatrice Smith Penfield.
Patricia was a 1959 graduate of Randolph Central School and retired from the Charm Beauty Salon at the Hotel Jamestown, where she had worked for 50 years.
She was a confirmed communicant of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Randolph and was a member of the Falconer American Legion Auxiliary Unit 638 and Jamestown Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Unit 53. She also enjoyed gardening at home in Panama.
She is survived by a brother, Walter "Skip" Penfield of Randolph; two sisters, Shirley Frentz and Dorothy Frentz of Cattaraugus; a step-son, Thomas Bargerstock of Panama; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her husband, William Bargerstock.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 19 in the VanRensselaer and Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Randolph, where the family received one hour prior. Rev. Joseph Janaczak officiated.
