RIPLEY - Patrick R. Ziolkowski, 31, of Route 76, Ripley was charged with speeding, one headlight and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on Friday, March 8.
According to the sheriff's office, a deputy stopped Ziolkowski for allegedly speeding and having only one working headlight around 10 p.m. Further investigation allegedly revealed Ziolkowski's driver's license was suspended on Sept. 14, 2012 for failure to answer summons. Ziolkowski was taken into custody and later released with appearance tickets.
BROCTON - Michelle Beaujean, 28, of Fredonia was charged with driving while intoxicated common law and DWI per se 0.08 percent blood alcohol content or higher on Saturday, March 9.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies, along with Fredonia and Westfield police, responded to a disorderly persons call at the St. Stephens Hotel in Brocton around 2:30 a.m. Upon the arrival of the deputies, a patron allegedly identified a vehicle which had just driven away from the property as being occupied by the disorderly subjects. The suspect vehicle was allegedly stopped by deputies on East Main Street near the Country Fair store. Further investigation into the stop led to the arrest of Beaujean, who was allegedly the driver, for driving while intoxicated. Further investigation allegedly found no criminal charges to be pressed in regards to the incident at the bar. Beaujean was issued traffic tickets and is to appear in Brocton Village Court on a later date.
