CLYMER - Trent Johnston, 22, of Ripley was arrested for third-degree unauthorized use of a vehicle on Sunday, Feb. 17
According to the police office, a trooper responded to Peak N' Peek Ski Resort in Clymer for a report for a report of a missing van. While the trooper was interviewing the Peak N' Peek staff, another employee allegedly observed the van in question drive south on Olde Road and pull into the parking lot near the maintenance building. The suspect was allegedly identified as Johnston. Johnston was arrested and transported to State Police Jamestown. Johnston was then arraigned in French Town Creek Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
FRENCH CREEK - Adrianna Samlock, 20, of Clymer and Keith Tilyou, 19, of Ripley were both arrested for second-degree aggravated harassment on Thursday, Feb. 21.
According to the police office, over the preceding few days, Samlock and Tilyou called the State Police several times reporting the other was contacting them excessively. As neither party desired the other arrested, verbal warnings were given to both to refrain from contacting each other. When Samlock and Tilyou ignored the State Police and continued to contact and annoy each other, they were placed under arrest. They were processed and issued appearance tickets returnable to French Town Creek Court.
PORTLAND - Rodney Clyburn, 32, was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on charges with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of marijuana and controlled substance not in original container on Sunday, Feb. 17.
According to the police department, troopers were dispatched to Woodcrest Avenue in the Town of Portland for an unwanted guest. Troopers allegedly located Clyburn in the bedroom of the residence. Troopers allegedly ascertained Clyburn was wanted by the City of Dunkirk Police Department for second-degree harassment, second-degree criminal trespass and criminal mischief. Clyburn was arrested by the State Police and turned over to the City of Dunkirk Police Department. After the subject was arrested by the State Police, the complainant re-contacted the State Police to advise it he found contraband in the area Clyburn was staying. State Police confiscated the contraband and additionally charged Clyburn listed above. Clyburn was arraigned in Portland Town Court and remanded to jail in lieu of $2,500 cash and $5,000 property bail.
PORTLAND - Charles M. Karlstrom, Jr., 25, of Fredonia was arrested for petit larceny on
Tuesday, Feb. 26.
According to the police office, troopers responded to a complaint from a Portland resident that his prescription medication had come up missing. Karlstrom had allegedly taken several Hydrocodone pills without the owner's permission. Karlstrom was arrested and released on an appearance ticket. He is due in Portland Town Court on a later date.
