Westfield Stray Cat Rescue - Sin Jin

"Hi my name is Sin Jin and I am looking for my forever home. I am 5 years young and a real romantic. Today a lady came and took my picture and I laid in her lap and gave her kisses on the cheek and purred the whole time. I'm handsome too. I am a brown tabby with black stripes, and I have a white spot on my chest. When you meet me you will definitely fall in love. Call the rescue at 326-2404 to make an appointment to meet me or some of my friends or stop by WSCR's second hand store, The Thrifty Kitty at 59 E. Main St., Westfield. I'll be waiting for you."

"All of us at the shelter have a story, some are worse then others and mine is not bad. My owner works long hours and is gone a lot and decided I was spending way too much time all by myself and would be much happier with someone that could be with me more. I am around 5 years old and past the puppy years, but still enjoy playing. I really am just one heck of a nice guy, nice size too, I am big enough not have to worry about getting stepping on, but not so big I take up the whole couch." Call 326-PAWS if interested or view all of the dogs available for adoption at www.caninerescue.org.

Canine friends are a high part of their owners' lives. They give unconditional love, companionship and fun. NCCR is fortunate to have a talented poet, Mo Ferree, on staff who would love to immortalize furry friends in verse. She will compile information on an owner's dog and compose a personalized poem for inclusion in a book which will go on sale as a fundraiser for NCCR. Additionally, to accompany the poem, NCCR will photograph the dog at home or at the shelter's mini-studio in the Learning Center. Participants are under no obligation to purchase the book. Anyone who would like to have their dog included should fill out the questionnaire by clicking the "Celebrity Dogs" link on the NCCR website listed above. The deadline for submitting information is Thursday, Jan. 31.
