PERRYSBURG - Three Brocton men are facing charges after police were tipped off for suspicious activity in Cattaraugus County.

State Police out of the Collins barracks report that Gregory A. Dzielski, 30; Mark R. Dzielski, 27; and Justin L. Eck, 30, all from the village of Brocton, were observed walking out of the abandoned JN Adams Hospital complex in Perrysburg.

Police say a resident had called police after seeing a vehicle repeatedly parked at the site of the former developmentally disabled facility. The resident reported seeing three younger-looking men wearing outdoor gear exiting a vehicle with an out-of-state license plate.

Police said the abandoned hospital had been broken into numerous times by would-be copper thieves. After obtaining a description of the vehicle, state police monitored the area throughout the weekend. On Sunday, the vehicle was located unoccupied in the parking lot of the hospital.

A check of the vehicle's registration found it was a rental car. Authorities contacted the rental agency, which confirmed an agreement with a female not involved. Additional police were then contacted to the scene in an attempt to locate the suspects.

Once daylight, Mark and Gregory Dzielski and Eck were observed walking from the complex toward the rental car. Police stopped the vehicle after the driver failed to signal a turn.

Police said no one in the vehicle had a valid driver's license and all three were arrested. A small amount of heroin and a hypodermic needle were found in the vehicle.

All three suspects were charged with third-degree criminal trespass. Mark Dzielski also was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument, a misdemeanor.

The trio are due in Perrysburg Town Court on a later date.
