RIPLEY - A regular meeting of the board of education of the Ripley Central School District and presentation on tuitioning will be held today at 6:30 p.m. in the small gymnasium of the Ripley Central School for the purpose of any and all items that come before the board.
WESTFIELD - The Westfield Fire Department will host a spaghetti dinner today from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Westfield exempt hall, 75 Bourne St. Cost for the dinner is $7 for adults, $6 for seniors and $5 for children. Proceeds will benefit the 2013 firemen's convention.
MAYVILLE - An indoor yard sale will be held Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at Chautauqua Suites in Mayville. Admission is $1.
RIPLEY - The Ripley Free Library will be holding a soup and sandwich event on Jan. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. The meal will include choice of homemade soup, a sandwich and a slice of pie along with coffee and punch. The price is $7.

MAYVILLE - The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive on Jan. 28 from noon to 5 p.m. at Chautauqua Suites. January is National Blood Donor Month, a time when the American Red Cross recognizes and thanks the millions of dedicated blood and platelet donors across the United States for helping to ensure a stable blood supply for patients in need both locally and across the country. The need is constant and continuous.
WESTFIELD - The Kiwanis Club of Westfield/Ripley will hold a chicken and biscuit dinner on Feb. 21 from 5-7 p.m. at St. Dominic's Church, Westfield. The chef for the dinner will be Ron Powers. Cost for the dinner is $7 for adults and children over 12, $5 for children age 4-12. There is no cost for children under 4. Proceeds will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
