Westfield Police Department 01/17/13

JAMESTOWN - On Jan. 8 at 12:52 a.m., Jamestown police officers allegedly come into contact with Erica L. Ingerson, 19, 1102 Newland Ave., Jamestown. Ingerson allegedly had an active bench warrant from the town of Westfield court for failure to appear in court on a previous date. Ingerson was placed in custody and turned over to the Westfield police. She was arraigned in town of Westfield court and taken to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail. She will appear in town court at a later date.

On Jan. 8 at about 4 p.m., Westfield police and the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department were called to 17 Holt St., Westfield, for a fight/domestic incident in progress. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that his live-in friend had allegedly assaulted him by slamming him into a wall and choking him after a verbal argument. Troy A. Kightlinger, 41, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and blood circulation, and second-degree harassment. He was arraigned in village court and transported to Chautauqua County Jail on $1,000 cash/$2,000 property bail.

On Jan. 8 at about 3 p.m., Westfield police assisted the probation department with a warrant check for Juan G. Rivera at 15 Clinton St. in the village of Westfield. Rivera was located at the address and taken into custody on an active bench warrant for the violation of a drug court contract from the city of Dunkirk. He was later turned over to Dunkirk police.

On Jan. 9 at 11:33 p.m., Westfield police stopped a vehicle allegedly operated by Connie L. Hogue, 52, 6900 E. Route 20, Lot 2, Westfield on East Main Street for an alleged traffic infraction. Upon further investigation, it was found that Hogue's driving privileges in New York state were suspended. Hogue was issued traffic tickets for inadequate headlights and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator. She will appear in village court at a later date.

On Jan. 11, at about 10 p.m., a Westfield police officer was walking the beat on East Main Street and allegedly observed a subject acting in a suspicious manner. Upon further investigation, an 18-year-old youth was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana in plain view of the officer. The youth was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and will appear in village court at a later date.

On Jan. 12 at 8:34 p.m., a Westfield officer was on patrol and observed a westbound vehicle on West Main Street traveling at a high rate of speed for zone. Upon further investigation, Min S. Yim, 24, of Ithaca, N.Y., was allegedly found to have his driving privileges in New York suspended. Yim was issued traffic citations for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and speed in zone. He will appear in village court at a later date.

On Jan. 13 at 10:54 p.m., Westfield police stopped a vehicle allegedly operated by Dustin W. Hale, 28, 8867 West Ave., Portland on West Main Street in Westfield for an alleged traffic infraction. During the stop, it was allegedly found that Hale possessed a suspended drivers' license and was also found to be in possession of a hypodermic needle located under the driver's seat of the vehicle. He was issued tickets for speed in zone, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and an appearance ticket for criminal possession of a hypodermic needle. He was released to a licensed operator and scheduled to appear in village court at a later date.
