Mayville Senior Citizens

The Mayville Senior Citizens Club meet on the first and third Thursdays of the month at the Mayville VFW at noon. All area seniors 55 or older are welcome. Bring a dish to pass and personal table service.

Survivors of Suicide Support Group

On behalf of the Chautauqua County Mental Health Association, Gateway Center, 31 Water St., Jamestown, the Survivors of Suicide Support Group meets every third Thursday of the month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. For more information, contact Rick Huber at 661-9044.

Children's night of Christmas in the Village

Events during children's night of Christmas in the Village includes a tree lighting by Santa in Moore Park at 6 p.m., followed by treats, drinks, children's activities and visits and pictures with Santa at the Westfield YWCA.

Saturday, Nov. 17

International Survivors of Suicide Day

The 14th annual International Survivors of Suicide Day will be celebrated by the Chautauqua County Mental Health Association, Gateway Center, 31 Water St., Jamestown, on Saturday, Nov. 17 with refreshments at noon followed by an AFSP Nationwide Broadcast from 1 to 2:30 p.m., and a closing ceremony.

Christmas in the Village's Hall of Christmas

The Hall of Christmas, part of the Christmas in the Village weekend, will be held in Eason Hall, 23 Elm St., Westfield from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be purveyors of fine gifts, free horse-drawn carriage rides, live music and concessions.

Christmas in the Village's Victorian Tea

A Victorian Tea will be held as part of Christmas in the Village at the McClurg Mansion located in Moore Park, Westfield from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event includes, scones, savories, sweets and assorted hot beverages.

Christmas in the Village's Hall of Christmas

The Hall of Christmas, part of the Christmas in the Village weekend, will be held in Eason Hall, 23 Elm St., Westfield from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be purveyors of fine gifts, live music, concessions and the Westfield Women's Organization's annual Holly Tour.

Vietnam veterans meeting

Chapter No. 459 Vietnam Veterans of America will hold its monthly meeting on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m., at John T. Murray VFW Post No. 1017, 113 Deer St., Dunkirk. This will be the only meeting for November. All Vietnam and Vietnam-era personnel are invited.

Merger focus group meeting in Brocton

The public is invited to attend the Community Focus Group meeting to learn about the Westfield Academy and Central and Brocton Central Schools merger study being conducted and to respond to questions posed on Monday, Nov. 19 in the Westfield school auditorium at 7 p.m. Residents are asked to attend the meeting in their own school district.

Empire college information session

SUNY Empire State College will hold an information session on Monday, Nov. 19 at 112 W.

Main St., Suite 1, Fredonia at 5:30 p.m. Call 673-1200 for reservations and/or information.

Saturday, Dec. 1

Charity Ball

The Union Relief Association will hold the 91st annual Charity Ball on Saturday, Dec. 1 in Eason Hall, Westfield. There will be a cocktail party from 8 to 9 p.m., followed by the dance to music of the Roadrunners from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. In addition, there will be hourly door prizes. All are welcome. Tickets are available at the door or at Westfield Optical, B&C Bookkeeping, the town office or by calling 708-9331.

Parkinson's support group at WMH

Westfield Memorial Hospital's Parkinson's Disease Support Group Meeting is held the first Thursday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Westfield Senior Citizens

The Westfield Senior Citizens meet on the second Thursday of the month at the YWCA Westfield at noon.

Parkinson's support group at Absolut Care

The Absolut Care of Westfield's Parkinson's Disease Support Group Meeting is held the second Thursday of the month in the Absolut Care Activity Room from 4 to 5 p.m.
