MAYVILLE - David Gray, 48, of Mayville was charged with driving while intoxicated common law, DWI per se 0.08 percent blood alcohol content or higher, fail to keep right and turning violation on Saturday, Oct. 13.

According to the police office, deputies allegedly observed a vehicle fail to keep right on Rte. 394 in the Village of Mayville around 2 a.m. The suspect vehicle was subsequently stopped on Valley St., for the observed violations. Gray was allegedly found to be the operator of suspect vehicle and further investigation into the stop led to Gray's arrest for DWI. He was released with traffic tickets and will appear Chautauqua Town Court on a later date.

WESTFIELD - Tyler Berry, 18, of Portland was charged with driving while intoxicated, blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more and minor possession of alcohol on Tuesday, Oct. 16.

According to the sheriff's office, Berry was allegedly involved in a motor vehicle accident on McKinley Rd., in the Town of Westfield around 9 p.m. Berry was observed leaving the scene and driving to his residence in Portland. The sheriff's office was called to investigate and Berry was found to be intoxicated. Tyler was charged and will be in Westfield Town Court on a later date.

MAYVILLE - Rose E. Raynor, 27, of Chautauqua Ave., Jamestown was charged with second-degree promoting prison contraband on Thursday, Oct. 18.

According to the sheriff's office, while visiting an inmate at the Chautauqua County Jail, Raynor allegedly attempted to pass contraband to her visitor inmate Christopher M. Harding around 1:15 p.m. Raynor and Harding were arrested and will appear in Chautauqua Town Court on a later date.

MINA - Andrew S. Vanevery, 24, of Sherman was charged with failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated and blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more on Saturday, Oct. 20.

According to the sheriff's office, Vanevery was allegedly traveling south on Rte. 426 in the Town of Mina when he crossed over the center of the roadway and struck a northbound vehicle around 4:30 p.m. Both vehicles then went off the east side of the roadway. Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to investigate the accident, and Vanevery was allegedly found to be intoxicated. Vanevery was charged with and will be in Mina Town Court on a later date.

MAYVILLE - Scott Hess, 45, of Mayville was charged with driving while intoxicated and blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more on Sunday, Oct. 21.

According to the sheriff's office, Hess was allegedly traveling north on Elm St., in the Village of Mayville attempting to make a left turn into his driveway around 6 p.m., when he states he "blacked out." Hess's vehicle then allegedly struck a parked car on the side of the road, continued on and then struck a tree. Hess was treated at the scene by Mayville Fire Department. After an investigation, Hess was allegedly found to be intoxicated. Hess was charged and will be in Chautauqua Town Court on a later date.
