BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — New York Education Commissioner John King Jr. has added a promised Buffalo stop to his education reform tour.
King's office says a forum for him and Regent Robert Bennett to answer questions will be held Thursday, Dec. 12 in the WNED-TV studios.
Each western New York school district will be allowed to send up to three representatives. Members of the general public can register for a seat online.
King has been traveling the state discussing the new Common Core learning standards, teacher evaluations and other educational reforms adopted by New York.
Previous forums have featured angry attacks aimed at King and the way the state has implemented the reforms, which King says are necessary to prepare students for college and careers.
