HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) — Police on Long Island have arrested a man in the deaths of his mother, sister and another woman.

Nassau County police say Bobby Vanderhall was arrested Saturday following the early morning slayings.

The victims were identified as his mother, Lynn Reichenbach-Vanderhall, sister, Melissa Vanderhall and a family acquaintance, Janel Simpson.

Authorities say the three women were found dead inside the Vanderhall's Hempstead, New York, home of "blunt force trauma" at about 2:15 a.m.

A fourth woman survived the assault and is hospitalized.

It was not immediately known if Bobby Vanderhall has an attorney.
