Looking For Patterns In Dreams
On a recent dark and deep night, I found myself driving the car full speed down the road...in reverse. It seemed perfectly logical at the time.
Suddenly, the pavement narrowed, then disappeared altogether. The car and I were suspended on the surface of a narrow lake.
No problem. I just spun the car around and maneuvered across the water.
And through it all, I was safe in my bed. But my brain was in the midst of another of those wacky nighttime adventures called dreams.
You, too, have probably found yourself involved in one of these off-the-wall dramas when you’re sound asleep.
You’re taking a test in a course you never attended. Or you suddenly find yourself in a crowd while wearing less than you should be. Or you’re not at all surprised to be holding a comfortable conversation with some famous person. Or some danger is pursuing you and you’re trying to run away through deep sand.
