July 2, 2009 There are some who believe Anthony Baideme belongs with the masters of American Folk Art. The only place he ever wanted to live and paint was Westfield, and he never grew tired of painting scenes about him. He was a true Westfield Renaissance man. “Westfield Revisited: Life and Works of Anthony Baideme” opens on Friday, July 3, from 7 to 9pm at the Patterson Library Octagon Gallery in Westfield. It runs through August 7. The exhibit is dedicated to his love of Westfield and all those who loved him. » Full Story

July 2, 2009 The Westfield Women’s Organization held their Spring Banquet on Wednesday, May 13. The Nobel Winery on Hardscrabble Road was a wonderful host and Quagliana’s Bark Grill Restaurant catered a delicious buffet. The buffet included Chicken Marcella, vegetable lasagna, broccoli and fruit salads and Italian potatoes, before finally ending with carrot cake or cheesecake. Wine and shrimp cocktail started us off to a memorable evening. The tables were covered with fragrant lilacs and candles. Each member received a gift that represented something unique to them over the past year. » Full Story
